Perfect floral scent
I used to think I wasn't into white florals, but this candle convinced me otherwise. It has a bit of depth from some green notes and spice. It's strong and heady without being cloying.

Powdery, Rose spice
Trying a few of the Cire Trudon candles to find my favourite florals .
Although I do not like spice, Oud or Oriental perfumes as a perfume scent , I don’t mind them in a candle for my home .
This is a well made mixture of powdery Iris , Rose and Spices .
I got the sample size but won’t buy a full size candle as I have a few more to try but that’s only because I would like it to be a touch more floral . Just my taste and not taking away from the quality and craftsmanship of Cire Trudon.
As usual , Libertine have provided outstanding service and presentation . Every purchase experience is an exciting , pleasure journey .

A cosy fireplace scent
It starts off a delicious gourmand chestnut and vanilla sort of thing, absolutely edible and very warm, cosy and comforting. Before long, the woody smoky base warms up. After re-entering the room where I was burning the candle, I realised I could detect a note of oak moss (almost like the smell of band-aids in the best way possible). I love real oak moss!

Champagne experience on a beer budget!
I purchased a mini cire trudon candle which has a warming slightly sweet and spicy fragrance and it's lovely but the real WOW factor was the way this purchase was packaged. I received a medium sized box and found inside a personalised thank you card which was such a fantastic personal touch! The package was scented with Saskia by Grandiflora which is gorgeous and not only did I receive the four perfume samples I requested but I also was gifted a pouch full of other various samples AND a cire trudon wax cameo!! I felt so spoilt and my two friends whom I told about my experience went straight to the website to browse as they wanted to receive the same treatment! Surprisingly complex
Initially the scent seems to revolve around the fig note, a bit of citrus and some herbal notes. However it gets more interesting once the pine and cedar notes make themselves known. I'm not usually a fan of fig since it often goes in that sweet milky, green, direction. Here the fig is fresh and sweet as though unpicked from the tree, and the notes around it highlight the freshness rather than the milkiness.

To me it smells like marzipan. After a while it dries down to sweet and soft vanilla. It's like a nice comforting hug. I even wear it to bed sometimes because it's so cozy.

Sublime Gourmand Scent
So many foodie scents are sickly sweet, and cloying. Not so with Velvet Tonka. It has the perfect amount of sweetness which is damped down by a delicious creamy, dry, powdery note of almond. It's aromatic and ambery, and it's grounded by a woody, tobacco base. It's my current favourite scent and there's something very **** about smelling it on my clothes. My husband loves it too, which is a bonus.

Like a hug from a plush cashmere jumper. Can't get enough of this sweet, creamy scent. Drys down with warm clean undertones.

Almond vanilla goodness!
I received a sample of Velvet Tonka from Libertine with my last order and soon realised I needed a full bottle!
A heavenly vanilla almondy woody scent that immediately comforts me. The rose and orange blossom in this is not so obvious on me, I mostly get a rich warm vanilla marzipan note along with a hint of tobacco leaf in the dry down. A perfect Fall/Winter scent that envelops you and is almost reminiscent of fresh almond croissants in Paris. It’s a wonderful scent- could be rocked by a man if you prefer sweeter scents - with 6-8 hours longevity on my skin with a good sillage for the first 2-3 hours and then a closer to your body projection after that
