Bright and fresh
I’ve wanted to try out a tomato scented candle for a while and this one was at the top of the list. It’s not vegetal or heavy, rather you get that bright fresh scent of the leaves and vines that makes you feel like you’re in a garden in the height of spring. I’d burn this all year round whenever I feel I need to uplift my space and transport me to a summer garden.

I will never be without the CF Tomato candle
I have a CF Tomato candle in the bathroom and the diffuser in the kitchen. Visitorsnever fail to ask me what the gorgeous scent is (and I assume they can read). Perhaps everyone just finds it surprising that tomato could smell so wonderful, but is the CF Tomato products have the scent of wet tomato leaves, not the fruit. Any gardener will tell you how fresh, green and invigorating that scent is. I just wish that Libertine would include the new tomato taper candles on the Shop website so that I could purchase those too.

Sharp, herbal, but creamy
Smells like tomato stems and leaves (not the fruit) - so it's quite sharp and green, but it has a creaminess to it as well and is quite a refined fragrance.

A must for tea drinkers
A powerful scent of black tea with a milky, soapy, sappy sort of green undertone. It is one of my favourite Carriere Freres candles, alongside Cedar and Cypress. If you're a tea drinker, I think this is a must.

Rich and sumptuous fragrance
This is my favourite of the Wood scented candles from Carriere Freres. It is reminiscent of the well-known Ernesto candle from Cire Trudon. It is dense, woody, spicy, and rich, but it doesn't overpower.

Incredible tuberose
Tuberose in my experience is a strong scent, and this is no exception. It is a carnal and indolic white floral. If you enjoy white florals in perfumery, this will not disappoint. If you don't like white florals in perfumery, this will make you change your mind.

Finally, an Iris I enjoy
I’m not usually a fan of Iris or Orris, even if it is created the most exotic and expensive orris butter. The Dalmatian Iris Candle has however a subtle and delightful trail which sits unobtrusively in the background until I walk nearby, and then realise how much I have been enjoying it in the room all along.
The candle burns for many many hours, and doesn’t seem to lose any scent towards the end.
I recommend Dalmatian Iris to anyone who wants to burn a candle in the background for an elegant muted scent. I don’t think this one would annoy visitors.

Spearmint is my favourite at all times!
Never thought I’d be sticking with the same diffuser for so long.
Soooo refreshing
I have had this in the bathroom, which has diffused light, since December 2021, and it still has about 2cm left in the bottle. The Spearmint doesn’t have a toothpaste smell if you were concerned about that. It’s more like you’ve trodden heavily on spearmint growing along a shady path.
I only used two reeds in this bottle, and that is more than enough to produce a decent silage, without overpowering the room, or dissipating the liquid too quickly. The bottle is beautiful too.

Simply lovely

Addictive scent and beautifully decorated
I usually dislike the scent or taste of aniseed, but the sample of the Natural History Museum candle I received for an online masterclass changed my mind. This particular mix of herbs and woods is quite complex, and not something I’ve come across before. Whilst the Absinthe candle has a moderate projection, I don’t become anosmic to it, nor annoyed as I do with some candles. I would describe it as vegetal, woody and marine. I have two on the deck dining table and guests always ask where to get them.

Gorgeous Container
I haven't lit this candle yet and to be truthful I bought it for the beautiful container (to reuse after burning). However, this brand is consistently good so I have high hopes. The fragrance unlit smells very soft and delicate.
