Luxury Candles

Having Lavender Angustifolia as the oil used in this candle, it is highly aromatic and the scent spreads around a large room easily. I use it outside on the verandah at night, and it does a fair job of keeping the mozzies away. The scent is the sharp uplifting lavender, which I much prefer to the more mellow or dusty kind of lavender more common in candles. If you want a mellow lavender fragranced candle this probably isn’t for you, but the Carriere Freres Lavender candle is unsurpassed in my opinion. Great natural ingredients too, and a pretty holder.

This is a very green and in-your-face indolic orange blossom. It isn't creamy and subtle like the Odalisque candle from Cire Trudon. This is strong stuff that makes a statement.

Such a beautiful candle, and reminds me of my aunts garden full of lily of the valleys! Will definitely be repurchasing

Hard not to enjoy and appreciate the creamy soapy slightly green LOTV scent, this candle has a great diffusion when burning, and furthermore will fill the space with its rich scent when not lit as well.

This tomatoe candle is just so fresh and beautiful. The aroma in my flat is to die for. Definitely will be repurchasing again. And the service is first class and beautifully packaged.

I have a CF Tomato candle in the bathroom and the diffuser in the kitchen. Visitorsnever fail to ask me what the gorgeous scent is (and I assume they can read). Perhaps everyone just finds it surprising that tomato could smell so wonderful, but is the CF Tomato products have the scent of wet tomato leaves, not the fruit. Any gardener will tell you how fresh, green and invigorating that scent is. I just wish that Libertine would include the new tomato taper candles on the Shop website so that I could purchase those too.

Smells like tomato stems and leaves (not the fruit) - so it's quite sharp and green, but it has a creaminess to it as well and is quite a refined fragrance.

Lovely quality candle, with a soft and fresh fragrance. Burnt really well.

I previously thought that a the fresh, green scent of fig would suit warm or hot weather, but the two CF Fig candles on the deck table have been really lovely right through winter, and now into Spring. They are very long lasting, and I’ll definitely buy replacements.

The Ficus Carica (Fig) candle from Carriere Freres has an embracing, comforting scent, and the flame seen through the white ceramic container is soft and gorgeous. I think this would make a lovely gift.

Love it. Hard to find just a ginger only fragrance candle.

This is not what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is a strong scent, and fills the room with a powdery, creamy, woodsy scent. Funnily enough, I don't enjoy the scent of the candle itself, but burn it and let the scent diffuse and it is lovely.

This candle is so great. Very powerful smell, and makes the room smell good even when its not burning. Its pricey, but worth it.

Nice fragrance, very soothing and unique and not replaceable for me.

Diffusibility is great, wax melted evenly.

Have repurchased few of this already.

A powerful scent of black tea with a milky, soapy, sappy sort of green undertone. It is one of my favourite Carriere Freres candles, alongside Cedar and Cypress. If you're a tea drinker, I think this is a must.

Really good black tea smell.

I’m not usually a fan of Iris or Orris, even if it is created the most exotic and expensive orris butter. The Dalmatian Iris Candle has however a subtle and delightful trail which sits unobtrusively in the background until I walk nearby, and then realise how much I have been enjoying it in the room all along.

The candle burns for many many hours, and doesn’t seem to lose any scent towards the end.

I recommend Dalmatian Iris to anyone who wants to burn a candle in the background for an elegant muted scent. I don’t think this one would annoy visitors.

The scent of this candle is lighter and sweeter than I was expecting, very much a freshly picked laurel leaf as opposed to a peppery dry bay leaf, the garden not the pantry.

Friend likes it, suit for summer

This is my favourite of the Wood scented candles from Carriere Freres. It is reminiscent of the well-known Ernesto candle from Cire Trudon. It is dense, woody, spicy, and rich, but it doesn't overpower.

The product was good, but unfortunately I do not live om a state where there is a Libertine store, so it's all about reading the description and working out if it would be something I like and then crossing fingers that I like it
